Sept. 1st Plans Completed For Opening And Restoration Teachers Meeting To Be Held On Tuesday Afternoon, August 31st, At 2:30 O’clock. The Cherryville Schools will open the l'd-L'i-ll school session Wednesday morning, September 1st, at S:-15 o’clock. All plans have been completed for the op ening and registrations' and classes will begin on Wednesday nioring. Registration and class! Homesley Passed Away 15th Barbara Catherine Sellers llmuesley was horn June 7, I Mid and departed this life on Sunday, August 15th, at the age of .so years, 2 months and eight day s. She was a daughter of the late Faster and Abraham Sellers a_nd_was .he last of that family of six children. She was married to John Ja cob llon.esioy in January 1KS7 who preceded her to the grave thirty years ago. To this union were born nine children, two sons and two daughters having preceded her to the grave, one son, John Ov'ic was killed in ac tion in World War 1. Those remaining: Mrs. Frank Ho ft in, Lincoln ton, Mrs. Lizzie Weaver, Arvil and Philbert Homesley of Cherryville, and Hunter Homesley of Mount Hol ly. Also seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren survive. Mrs. Homesley joined /Shady Grove Baptist church in early life and later mov'ed her member ship to the First Baptist church of Cherryville where she remain ed a member until her death Hue to ill health she had been unable to attend cTiurch regular ly. But her faith in the Lord was strong and she expressed her readiness to go to the intimate members of her family. Funeral service was held at Mount Zion Baptist church on Tuesday with the Rev. E. S. El liott in charge assisted by Rev’. W. G. Camp of Mooresville a former pastor officiating. Interment was made in the Mount Ziun cemetery.
